I like the single speed, but I'm going to change it back to a 9spd w/chainguide. It's my trail bike, and I don't ride enough anymore to stay in shape to pedal it (used to ride a 40lb single with boxxer all the time). Having said that, I do love the simplicity of the single and enjoy the lack of clutter on my bars and on my bike in general.

I am running a 36:18 ratio.
